WSIB Approved β’ Red Cross Certified β’ Required for Security Guard Licensing in Ontario
This Red Cross certified course fulfills the mandatory Emergency First Aid & CPR requirement for the Ontario Security Guard License. Approved by WSIB, it equips students with essential life-saving skills for both workplace and home use.

π§ What You’ll Learn:
This interactive, hands-on training prepares you to recognize, prevent, and respond to:
- Cardiovascular emergencies in adults
- Choking and airway emergencies
- Breathing difficulties
- Bleeding, shock, and wound management
- Use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
- Disease transmission prevention
As a licensed security guard, you may be the first responder on the scene, and this course provides the critical skills to stabilize a situation before emergency services arrive.
π Registration Process:
- Course Purchase: You’ll receive an email from SGC to select your preferred date and location.
- Online Training Access: Youβll receive a Red Cross invite to begin the online portion.
- Complete the Online Portion before your scheduled in-person training.
- Attend Classroom Session: Youβll receive a temporary certificate upon completion.
- Get Certified: Your permanent Red Cross certificate will arrive by email within 3β5 days. β οΈ Submit only your permanent certificate to the Ministry β not the temporary one.
