[Paradox-Magellan-Spectra User manual](https://www.baxsecurity.ca/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Paradox-Magellan-Spectra-User-Manual.pdf)

**Paradox Security Systems** is a Canadian manufacturer offering two core alarm panel lines: **Magellan** and **Spectra**.

**Magellan** is a wireless/hybrid series — sensors and keypads communicate over a two-way proprietary RF protocol, making it ideal for retrofits where running cable isn't practical. Models like the MG5050 support a mix of wireless and hardwired zones from a single panel.

**Spectra SP** is the wired counterpart, built for structured commercial and residential installs. It's modular by design — start small and expand with zone expanders, output modules, and keypads as needed, all on a single bus.
